Freshly crushed poppy is much more aromatic and easy to digest than the bland, ready-to-use baking product from the supermarket. When they are made with freshly prepared seeds the twisted poppy seed buns – not only for Christmas! – are deliciously juicy.
The stainless steel crushing mill.
This Jupiter mill is ideally suited for preparing poppy seed filling. It takes a little effort to use, but the result is a mass of exactly the right, slightly damp consistency.
Jupiter has been involved with the manufacture of kitchen implements since 1921, with the headquarters still located in Swabia. However today they also produce in the Czech Republic, where our hand operated mills are made. The crushing mill is stainless steel, and the crank handle and table top protection are made of plastic.

Crushing mill and funnel made of stainless steel with aluminium screw-nuts. White sheet steel housing. Clamping base width .7–3.5 cm. Height 21 cm, width 7 cm, length 17 cm. Weight 940 g.
Hand-operated mill for poppy and other oil seeds. The mill can be taken apart for cleaning but is not suitable for the dishwasher.
Each mill comes with instructions and a five year guarantee for normal use.
