What is true of Japanese knives is also true of Japanese scissors: they are extremely sharp. This model has forged blades made of carbon steel and is also - as you can easily see from the stamped characters - made by hand, from forging to grinding and polishing to final assembly (although it is not quite as detailed as that). Simply shaped to fit the anatomy of the hand, made of solid metal and fitted with a strong torsion spring, the shears with their hardened blades are suitable for pruning shrubs, roses and woody plants (up to 2.5 cm branch diameter).
