de Buyer Frying pan iron
General Information
The Best of the Best.
A frying pan should tolerate heating up to a very high temperature, and it should transfer the heat to the food as undiminished as possible. In these respects, hardly any other pan comes close to an uncoated iron pan. That is why professionals have always preferred them. In terms of taste and health, dishes prepared in an uncoated iron pan are unsurpassable. Iron pans have a very long product life. However, a raw, wrought iron pan needs to be worked in; then it becomes excelling over time and gains character.
Stove types:
Iron pans are suitable for all types of stoves. Please choose a stovetop that fits the bottom of the pan.
Cleaning:
In the smithy, they oil all pure iron pans to protect them from corrosion. This oil film is best removed with the calcined soda from our household care range before using the pans for the first time. Iron pans do not belong in the dishwasher; wiping out a well-seasoned pan without residue is quickly done.
Rolled iron.
These pans are made by de Buyer in Lorraine, manufacturer of kitchenware since 1830.
Culinary tradition: de Buyer
The company de Buyer has been designing and manufacturing cooking and baking utensils for more than just professional chefs since 1830. Based in the Vosges, the company now places great importance on environmental and social standards as a manufacturing company. In 2022, the company was certified for the second time in accordance with the United Nations' Corporate Social Responsibility Commitment, which defines more than 50 assessment criteria, including ethical behavior, respect for human rights and accountability. The company is also becoming increasingly involved beyond the boundaries of its own site. To protect the environment and water in the region, de Buyer operates its own waste water treatment plant. Components of non-stick coatings can be recycled on site and thus reused. The cooking appliance manufacturer recently supported a local reforestation project by planting more than 1,000 trees, and the company's own beehives help to revitalize the bee population in the Vosges mountains.
