General Information
Bringing color to the festival. Protects perhaps also from magic
In this country originally traditional Christian Easter decoration, we find the holly branch after Anglo-Saxon and Scandinavian model more and more also in the Christmas decoration. Strictly speaking, this is the rediscovery of its qualities, which lie not only in the expressive contrast of the evergreen leaves to the bright red berries. For even the ancient Germanic and Celtic people liked to equip their homes with holly branches, preferably - presumably thanks to the defensible leaf spines - as protection against all sorts of mischief, such as lightning and evil spells.
Extremely durable jewelry with skin-friendly spine-free leaves promise our holly branches, which are felted by hand from pure new wool: So you can liven up your decorations with bold splashes of color every year, both at Easter and Christmas. Whether as a vase decoration, napkin ring or welcome greeting at the front door, whether wrapped around the small gift or attractively distributed on the festive table, there are no limits to your ideas here. Only the protection from curses and lightning we can not guarantee ...
Tip: Make sure you have sufficient distance from the flower water, if you want to combine the felt branches with a bouquet of fresh branches and cut flowers. To do this, loop the felt-wrapped wire stems at the appropriate height around the natural branches.
Fairly combined. Gry & Sif
During her backpacking trip through Nepal, the Dane Gry Staunstrup was immediately captivated by the openness and warmth of the people - and by their craftsmanship. She was able to observe in detail how skillfully and skilfully Nepalese women felted wool into Objekten. The idea of using this skill and combining Nepalese craftsmanship with Danish design was quickly born. And the idea was immediately followed by action.
Since 2000, the company Gry & Sif has been producing a wide range of products from wool felt in Nepal. The designs supplied by Gry Staunstrup are in typical Danish design, as striking as they are discreet and at the same time carefree and cheerful; the production is carried out by Nepalese women using traditional craftsmanship. Now Fair Trade certified, Gry & Sif stands for fair wages, good working conditions and transparency. Only pure new wool from New Zealand sheep is used for the felt products - each of which is unique and handmade.
