Herrnhuter Sternenchain

The famous Advent star of the Moravian Church of the Brethren, impressive with 25 rays, enjoys unbroken popularity. With this star chain you can now combine Herrnhuter Sterne and light chain - both indoors and outdoors. Ten original Herrnhuter Sterne, in the small version with 13 centimeters in diameter, line up at intervals of one meter on the light chain and let not only your Christmas tree, the staircase or the window fronts, but also house entrance, balcony, terrace and garden shine atmospherically. With a total of 14 meters, the chain offers enough length to herald Advent and Christmas in festive, lively arcs.

The star is manufactured at Herrnhuter Sterne GmbH - formerly the "Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine", a religious community of Moravian immigrants that named itself after the East Saxon community of Herrnhut founded by its members in 1722. Their influence on Christian life in Germany was considerable: the custom, still widespread today in Saxony and Hesse, of assembling a large star in family circles on the first Sunday of Advent, the light of which shines until Christmas, also goes back to them.
