This magnifying glass with its 2.5-fold enlargement is a reading aid for daily use. The chrome-plated brass ring surrounds a biconvex glass lens. The magnifying glass is made by Schweizer Optik in Forchheim, Germany, founded as glass workshop in 1840. Up to today the company has been and still is specialized in manufacturing professional magnifying glasses for technicians.
