Guest towel fine terry

General Information
Incredibly Soft and Fine. Terry Made from Supima® Cotton.
Worldwide, Supima® is synonymous with the highest, finest quality of Pima cotton. It is one of the best extra-long staple cotton around. Only one per cent of the cotton harvested globally comes in Supima® quality, and of that one per cent, only a few tonnes come from certified organic cultivation. Usually, this rare quality output is used for fine outerwear or luxurious bed linen; you wouldn’t find bathroom textiles and terry goods made from it. Therefore, these terry towels from the Swiss weaving mill Weseta are truly exceptional and a rarity on the market: As it happens, Weseta weaves them from fine Supima® cotton from controlled organic cultivation. Generally speaking, the feel of organic cotton is rather “stubbly” and dry due to short fibres. By contrast, organic cotton in Supima® quality has a supple and soft feel because it has very long fibres – in technical terms, it’s called extra-long staple cotton. You find the terry towels made from cotton of this quality delicately intertwined and extraordinarily soft yet durable.
Light-Weight, Highly Absorbent, Economical.
With an average weight of 400 g/m², the GOTS-certified terry towels are lightweights. Yet, they impress with a high absorbency rate due to the extraordinary cotton. The quality used here comes with extra-long fibres and particularly high fibrillation – that’s the term experts use when talking about the ability of fibres to dissipate water. These towels dry faster than ones made from heavy terry. Yet, there is another advantage: Because they take up less volume and have a lower basic weight, you can put more of these towels in the washing drum or tumble dryer per cycle. What’s more, these towels use up less water when washed.
Weseta was able to secure a substantial stock of the valuable, rare yarns; however, the production of these terry towels is not unlimited. Weseta has the yarn dyed in Switzerland. The weaving and manufacture of the towels take place in the alpine valley of Sernftal. Weseta has had its company site in the Glarus region since 1864.
