You can crush oats without further pre-treatment. Wheat, rye or spelt grains, like ancient grains, should first be moistened with water in a sieve and then dried again for around five hours. The Futuria E1 is easy to use. You can even remove the crushing mechanism completely and clean it with the cleaning brush provided. For reasons of hygiene, it is always advisable to clean the inside of the housing thoroughly if the appliance is not in use for some time.
