Gold shea butter

Shea butter, also known as shea butter, is rich in unsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E and provitamin A; it moisturizes the skin and keeps it smooth and supple. Gold shea butter is obtained by gentle cold pressing. In its pure form, unrefined and unscented, it has the typical (in this case even slightly more intense) fragrance and is quite firm in consistency. After briefly warming it in the palms of your hands, it becomes soft and spreads easily. Gold shea butter is suitable for the care of particularly dry skin as well as for scaly or heavily stressed skin areas.

The shea nut tree, which grows in the West African savannah, has significant economic benefits in Africa. However, attempts to cultivate it have so far failed, and it does not reach its full yield until it is around 50 years old. Even when cleared for new fields, it is therefore usually spared and cultivated in so-called cultivated tree parks - the scattered trees with the crops grown underneath are reminiscent of a park landscape. Once a year, the shea nut tree produces fruit from whose fat-rich kernels, known as shea nuts, shea butter is made.
