Glass jug ribbed

The ridges break up the light to great effect as if the carafe were made of crystal. But the ridges aren't even polished. Their form is imparted by squeezing hot glass in a mould. The carafe is made of pressed glass, which is why it's so stable. Use it with the appropriate decanter for the house bar. Or alone on the table, for serving something refreshing on the terrace or balcony.

The light breaks up in the ribs of the glass as if it were crystal, but pressed glass is shaped by squeezing a hot mass of glass into a form, producing this very stable pressed glassware. Even though the ribs have not been polished, the pieces of this assortment make up a respectable cocktail cabinet ensemble, are handsome at the table and do admirable service for an aperitif or a pick-me-up.
