Gift set Valobra soaps

This gift box from Valobra contains five fragrant care soaps. Boiled on the basis of high-quality oils and enriched with valuable, nourishing plant creams, they develop a fine-pored, creamy lather and gently cleanse any skin. Pratolina (Italian for daisy), for example, is enriched with almond oil cream and lecithin. The soap smells pleasantly of alpine wildflowers, rose and powdery iris. Warm wood and resin notes in the base complete the floral aroma. Reseda soap contains rich, wheat germ oil cream, which especially cares for dry skin and is therefore suitable for the cold winter months. It smells of fresh spicy lavender, which is accompanied by a slight sweetness. The shea butter cream contained in the Assoluta soap nourishes the skin and gives it a velvety soft feeling. Its powdery fragrance with floral notes of geranium and rose is lightly flanked by patchouli. Valobra's classic Primula soap is a superfatted, extremely mild soap. Enriched with rice oil cream and vitamins, it cleanses extremely gently, making it suitable for sensitive skin and delicate children's skin. Its delicate fragrance is characterized by primrose flowers, aromatic lavender and floral notes of geranium. Valobra Lattuga Soap with corn oil cream and lettuce (lattuga) extract thoroughly but gently cleanses the skin without irritating or drying it. It can therefore also be used to remove makeup and is particularly suitable for sensitive skin. Its fresh fragrance is characterized by powdery notes, lavender, and white musk.

Valobra stands for fine soaps from Genoa, which have been handmade since 1903 using the Marseille process. This in turn is based on the traditional art of soap boiling, as it originated in Aleppo. The soaps are made from oils, without any additives. The process is complex and rather rare today, because it involves several labor-intensive and time-consuming steps. In Valobra, in the traditional technique of "levata da lisciva" (in which oils are boiled in a lye), different oils are first mixed with soda and water and boiled at 120-130 °C for several hours. Only at the end of the boiling process is a vegetable-based cream added to the soap mass so that it can later fully develop its respective properties in the soap. To achieve a homogeneous mixture and the optimum consistency, the mass is rolled four times - which also compacts the soap and makes it particularly productive - then dried and pressed into its Valobra-typical elliptical shape. Finally, the soaps rest and mature for at least two more months before being packaged by hand. Many of the motifs on the packaging are historical and in some cases date back to the founding years.
