Garden wooden shoe with protective cap

This Swedish model combines the safety offered by a work shoe with the comfort of a well-made wooden shoe. The uppers are stamped from cow's leather, softened in water and stretched over the lasts when the leather is still damp. That makes the leather uniformly stretchable and determines the fit of the shoe – well before upper and wooden body are fitted and nailed together. A steel cap inserted in the toe protects the foot while working with a spade, hoe or heavy loads (firewood, stones, etc.) The closed heel provides additional security. The polished alder wood body is stained dark on the outside but is untreated inside to maintain the breathing capacity of the wood. A padded instep contributes to day-long wearing comfort. The solid outer sole made of rubber is furnished with a strong-gripping profile.
