The principle is simple: inside an opulent, impressively heavy cast iron pot is a roll of paper soaked in wax. A toilet paper roll, to be exact, which can be ignited in no time by means of the enclosed ignition aids. It takes about two to four hours for the waxed paper to burn down completely, depending on the current wind and weather conditions. The simply beautiful, cast iron fire pot is made in an iron foundry in East Frisia and comes with a matching, solid lid that can be placed firmly on top to extinguish the flame (and protect it from dirt inside).
