The blades are forged from carbon steel, the handles are covered with cork material: We source these exceptional secateurs from a tool specialist in Wuppertal, whose specialty is cutting tools - and has been for more than 100 years. These shears are particularly suitable for pruning roses, but their bypass blades are also ideal for pruning shrubs and bushes as well as for harvesting herbs and cut flowers. The forged blades have a transparent coating to protect them from corrosion. The handle material deserves special attention: with a high proportion of natural cork, it is extremely comfortable and warm in the hand, has an anti-slip effect and naturally absorbs moisture from the ungloved hand. This cork material has been proving its durability for years in alpine environments and Nordic walking - you may have already come across it as a handle material on hiking poles.

The blades of our secateurs with cork handle are not replaceable, but they can be resharpened at any time. The forged-in oiling point makes it easy to lubricate the mechanism without having to dismantle the entire shear head. A drop of Ballistol or tool care oil and the scissors can be operated as smoothly as ever (again). A built-in wire notch also makes it easier to cut through soft florist's wire. Instead of the usual plastic blister pack, we have opted for an inviting type of packaging for these secateurs: the tool is supplied on a solid alder wood board with an attractive floral design. Our logo is laser-engraved at the top of this plate, and a write-on plant label can also be pressed out of the bottom end.
