Garden shears cork handle

The blades forged from carbon steel, the handles covered with cork material: We source these exceptional secateurs from a tool specialist in Wuppertal, Germany, whose specialty is cutting tools - and has been for more than 100 years now. These shears are particularly suitable for pruning roses, but their bypass blades also assist in pruning perennials and woody plants as well as herbs and cut flowers. To protect against corrosion, the forged blades have a transparent coating. The handle material deserves special attention: with a high proportion of natural cork, it is exceptionally pleasant and warm in the hand, it has an anti-slip effect and naturally absorbs the moisture of the ungloved hand. This cork material has been proving its durability for years, for example, in alpine environments and Nordic walking - you may have already encountered it as a handle material on hiking poles.

The blades of our garden shears with cork handle are not replaceable, but they can be resharpened at any time. The forged-in oiling point makes it easy to lubricate the mechanism without disassembling the entire shear head. A drop of Ballistol or tool care oil, and the scissors can be operated (again) as smoothly as ever. A built-in wire notch also makes it easier to cut through soft floral wire. Instead of the usual plastic blister, we have opted for a more environmentally friendly type of packaging for these garden shears: the tool is supplied on a solid alder wood plate with an attractive floral design. Our logo is specially lasered into the head of this plate, and a writable plant label can also be pressed out of the lower end.
