Garden glove upcycling

Doing garden work while protecting hands from dirt and thorns - for this purpose man invented gardening gloves. Ambitious, environmentally conscious gardeners*innen also kill two birds with one stone with this pair, because on top of that, the French manufacturer makes a contribution to the conservation of natural resources: the gloves consist entirely of remnants and fabrics with minor defects, which arise in their own production and selected partner companies and would have to be disposed of unused. Even the edgings are made from fabric remnants: They come from the textile company AJ Biais, also based in France, which has established itself in Europe as one of the market leaders for ribbons and trims.

As is to be expected from high-quality work gloves, the more heavily used areas - insides, thumbs and fingertips - are also made of water-repellent leather. For the back of the hand, a denim fabric made of organic cotton is used, which is robust and at the same time so airy-light that the gloves are particularly suitable during the warmer season.

The gloves of the French manufacturer Rostaing have a reputation for providing maximum comfort to its user. Origin of the family business located in the Rhône-Alpes region was a tannery founded in 1789. In the history of the company, now more than two hundred years, the production sites have grown at home and abroad, maintaining the high quality of manufacturing.
