Galvanized steel compost box, larch wood

Three things are important: A proper compost bin in our sense is made of durable materials, impresses with a stable construction and ensures good ventilation - as air supply is essential for optimal decomposition processes. The frame of this model is made of hot-dip galvanized and therefore permanently corrosion-protected steel with planks made of weather-resistant larch wood. It can be assembled in a few simple steps and without any complicated screw connections. This has the advantage that you can easily replace individual boards if necessary. And of course, this type of construction also makes it easier to fill the compost box and, above all, to remove the matured compost, as it is sufficient to temporarily remove one or two planks from the frame structure in the lower area to create space for handling with a digging fork and shovel. The larch wood used comes from forests in the Lake Constance region, Upper Swabia and the Allgäu and is processed in its natural state. Incidentally, the compost box is of course open at the bottom - i.e. towards the soil - so that earthworms and other soil organisms can find their way into the compost and carry out their valuable work.
