French Press Chambord metal handle
General Information
Unmistakable. The "Chambord" from Bodum
It is probably the most famous press pot in the world. Fans of this brewing method, also known as the French press, have long used the words Bodum and Chambord interchangeably. The recognizable model originally came from the French company Melior. According to legend, only a special historical building on the Loire can be considered as a design model: Château de Chambord, built in the 16th century as a magnificent hunting lodge for the knight-king François I. To this day, Chambord is considered the most magnificent of all the Loire castles - if you take a closer look at the rod filter canister, you may see the two outer castle towers with their characteristic domed roofs rising up before your inner eye.
However, we are also impressed by the inner values of this coffee maker, which has been produced by Bodum since the 1970s. Exclusively for us, the lid and retaining strainer are not made of plastic, but of stainless steel. The body of the jug is made of borosilicate glass, the frame is also made of stainless steel and the wide handle is made of metal.
