Forged Steel Curtain Set
General Information
A heavy curtain, such as our drawstring loden curtain, needs a curtain rod with load-bearing capacity. To avoid any experiments, we have teamed up with a blacksmith in Estonia and developed this solid piece of wrought iron. You can get this curtain rod only at Manufactum.
Curtain rods: forged. Solid, stable, robust. Without attitude
For the curtain rod, rolled round rods are roughly preformed on the lathe and forged out hook-shaped at their end. The final baked oil coating protects the raw iron from corrosion. The rod is designed so that it can be inserted into the wall brackets without any tools; these provide a secure hold when fastened to the wall with 3 screws each.
The wall brackets can also be mounted without wall plates (then with M8 hanger bolt).

The complete set is made of forged steel, consisting of a rod, supports, and curtain rings made of solid steel (without mounting material). The distance to the wall (at the inside point) is 11 cm. Curtain rods 16 mm diameter; wall plates 6 cm diameter. Weight of one support (with wall plate) 360 g.
