Fire basket cast iron

Made by LEDA in East Frisia. A cast iron fire basket painted dark brown and tipping the scales at 40 kg, very stable indeed. It comes with two cast iron plate inserts. With the plates in the lower position, one can burn logs in the grate for a flickering, crackling campfire for the garden and terrace. In the middle position the plates can be used for charcoal briquettes, and the fire basket becomes a grill, for roasting potatoes or baking twist bread. But it can be turned into a "real" grill, with an appropriate grating by using the upper level. The dimensions of the basket correspond to a format for which different gratings are available. For this purpose, we offer a food-safe enamelled plate for roasting lean meat, fish, or vegetables or cooking with a pot.
