This basket is made of lightweight birch plywood and, despite its fragile appearance, is impressively sturdy and, as a result, very practical and suitable for everyday use. The basket is not only used to store various small items - office utensils, toys, wool and knitting needles etc. pp. -It can also be used as a transport container, for example when shopping at the weekly market. The material owes its strength to the crosswise processing of several layers of thin birch wood, which are glued together. Once shaped, this inseparable bond is very stable and resilient. The top layer of birch plywood remains untreated and will therefore show signs of use and develop a patina over time. Unless you want to wax, oil, glaze or varnish the surface.

With its simple design, the storage basket cannot deny its Scandinavian origins. And the wood also comes from the far north: from Finland - the land of 1,000 lakes and forests, where the family-run manufacturing company is also based.

What initially began as a mother-daughter venture in 1997 quickly grew into a renowned Finnish design label. It goes without saying that the designers at Verso Design not only draw materials and inspiration from nature, but also produce in an ecologically clean manner.
