Feeding house granite ceramics

Real granite is the starting material, which is crushed into rock powder and in a second step processed into a malleable mass similar to ceramic clay. This mass is called Granicium® and is an in-house development of the manufacturer in Franconia. It must be handled with care if it is to be molded, and a drying process of about two weeks must be allowed for before an object can even be fired from it at very high temperatures in gas firing. Like this bird feeder, which consists of a large ring-shaped surface and a roof with stainless steel rods that still protrudes somewhat above it, which keeps the grains and nuts dry. A bird dumpling can hang down from a sturdy hook. Thus, even the different feeding preferences of the garden birds living with us can be taken into account. Some prefer the fat food from the bird dumpling and the others the scattered food.
