The garden is our local recreation area on the doorstep, where we can relax and enjoy the summer, eat, play and chat with friends and family. And to make it really cosy, we need one thing above all: the right seating furniture - which is so comfortable that half an hour can easily turn into a whole afternoon or evening, and which is so sturdy that it will accompany us for many summers to come.

Whether it's a day at the seaside or two weeks at the lake, a stiff breeze or a mild breeze - the main thing is water. Listen to the sound of the waves, take long walks along the shore, cool off in the water between two chapters of a book or play soccer with the kids. Now, before the longing gets the better of you, quickly pack up your beach gear and hit the road.

While the coolness of the evening is more than welcome in more southerly climes, we reach for a warm blanket later in the day in more northerly climes. Skin-friendly cotton, light alpaca or soft merino wool are the preferred materials here, as they also feel very comfortable in direct contact with the skin. Blankets made of linen and cotton are particularly kind to the skin. Linen also has a cooling effect because it absorbs and wicks away moisture quickly - ideal for tropical nights.
