During her backpacking tour through Nepal, the Dane Gry Staunstrup was immediately captivated by the openness and warmth of the inhabitants - and by their craftsmanship. She was able to observe in detail how adeptly and skillfully Nepalese women felted wool into Objekten. The idea was quickly born to use this skill and combine Nepalese craftsmanship with Danish design. Since 2000, the company Én Gry & Sif in Nepal has been producing a wide range of products made of wool felt. Gry Staunstrup delivers the designs in typical Danish design, as distinctive as discreet and at the same time carefree and cheerful; the implementation is carried out by Nepalese women in traditional handwork. Now Fair Trade certified, Én Gry & Sif stands for fair wages and working conditions, environmentally conscious production and transparency. Only pure new wool from New Zealand sheep is used for the felt products - each one handmade and unique.
