Easter eggs glass granules mouth-blown

A small family business in Budapest produces these Easter eggs using traditional glassblowing techniques. First, glass tubes are drawn into blanks in front of the flame. Colored, finely ground glass - the glass granulate - is sprinkled into the resulting hot, viscous glass mass and distributed in the soft glass mass. Finally, the blank and glass granules are also fused together in front of the flame, creating the characteristic streaks of color; the egg is formed freely and the hanging loop is artfully pulled out of the glass.

Due to the random distribution of the colored glass particles, each glass Easter egg shines with a slightly different pattern and shimmers in a unique way in the light of the spring sun, in your Easter branches as well as in your window decoration.
