Dr. Bronner’s Shower gel

Liquid soap based on coconut oil, olive oil, palm oil, jojoba oil and hemp oil, combined with essential peppermint oil. Creates a tingling sensation on the skin and refreshes the spirit.

Coconut, olive, palm kernel, hemp and jojoba oils are combined with essential oils for Dr. Bronner’s liquid soaps. The raw materials - including the palm kernel oil - are mostly sourced from controlled organic cultivation and fair trade at Dr. Bronner’s. During the saponification process, moisturizing glycerine remains in the soap, so it cleanses gently but effectively and produces a velvety lather. Emanuel Bronner's most famous soap is the peppermint soap, which has been produced in the soap manufactory since 1948. The essential oil provides an intense, fresh fragrance. Depending on the type of oil added, its properties come into play in the respective soap, which can therefore be used for a wide variety of purposes - as a shower gel and shaving foam, shampoo or bath additive, mild detergent or washing-up liquid. The neutral soap, on the other hand, does not contain any essential oils and is therefore just as suitable for sensitive skin and facial cleansing as it is as a pet shampoo. Dr. Bronner’s does not use outer packaging (which is why everything has to fit on the label of the bottle and the writing is sometimes very small) and the bottles are made from recycled plastic.

When the young German soap maker Emanuel Bronner emigrated to the USA in 1929, he would probably never have dreamed that the company he founded 20 years later would one day produce the country's most popular natural soaps. Initially, he traveled the country for many years, not only to sell his soaps, but also to spread his pacifist world view at lectures. In the aftermath of the two world wars, tolerance and the peaceful coexistence of people were important to him, as was treating nature with respect and consideration - still extremely unusual at the time. His soaps, which he produced using only natural raw materials and ingredients, were an expression of this. As a result, they were of outstanding quality and at the same time formed an antithesis to modern, petrochemical-based cosmetics. The fact that Emanuel Bronner's soaps were quickly more successful than his lectures, at which he also distributed them, shows that he was ahead of his time and absolutely right. Without further ado, he printed his messages directly on the labels, where they can still be found today. We can't say for sure what exactly made Dr. Bronner’s a cult in the USA, but we can say that the quality of the products completely won us over. In the soap factory, which is still family-run today, they are made from purely plant-based raw materials, most of which are organically grown and Fair Trade-certified. Dr. Bronner’s largely dispenses with outer packaging (which is why the lettering on the labels is quite small so that many messages can fit on each one).
