Cutting board cherry wood

These chopping boards are suitable for cutting, presenting and serving food. Whether you prepare a meal for one or more than one, all the ingredients for a hearty meal will fit on the board. The medium-sized one is also well suited for use at the table instead of a plate: there is even room for the cutlery on it. The large one serves bread, cheese, ham or sandwiches for a snack buffet. The curved edges of each board are milled manually and are carefully made to fit in the palm: serving even a loaded board bears no risk to drop the valued freight. Made in Solingen.

The cutting boards offered here are cut from the full wood of the cherry tree and are not glued. The carefully selected solid material meets all quality criteria. After drying, the wood is first steamed to increase its stability and to remove the natural tannins from it - a process that incidentally brings out the warm, dark red hue and fine grain even more. The wood is then freely shaped before being sanded smooth to the touch and finally treated with oil. This makes these cutting boards extremely dimensionally stable and resistant to warping.
