Cutting board with burrs maple wood untreated

Working ergonomically when preparing vegetables is easy with this large, maple wood cutting board. The two dovetail-jointed uprights have the board sitting ten centimetres higher than the working surface in the kitchen. The inserted little feet made of natural rubber make sure that the board does not slip. One other advantage: a plate or tray can be placed under the board to catch either the prepared vegetables or their peels. Please be aware, however, that the maple wood is untreated, and may have slight discolouration in places or small knots. For chopping boards, this is neither unusual nor untoward. With use, the dovetail inserts of the uprights may either protrude or "shrink" so that they are not flush with the end of the board. This is no way indicative of inferior quality, but part of the design and one of the quirks of this particular carpentry joint. Rest assured that the wood will not come apart and the working surface will remain level at all times.
