The coffee grounds in the coffee-orange soap provide gentle exfoliation and reduce odors at the same time. The olive and coconut oil base moisturizes and nourishes the skin, while orange oil adds a fresh, tangy fragrance.

Coffee is one of the most popular drinks in Germany, and a correspondingly large amount of coffee grounds is produced every year: several million tons, most of which is thrown away. Far too bad, thought the founders of Coffeecycle, who as baristas had to dispose of several kilos of the valuable raw material every day. Coffee grounds can not only be used for a wide variety of purposes in the home and garden, for example as a nutrient-rich fertilizer, odour remover or scouring agent, but thanks to the caffeine they contain (6 mg/g), they are also an effective additive in hair conditioners, shampoos and creams. The coffee grounds themselves are ideal as an exfoliant. This gave rise to the idea of recycling the precious waste and processing it into cosmetic products. Coffeecycle sources the coffee grounds from cafés in Hamburg, from where they are collected by cargo bike - just like everything else is transported by cargo bike.
