These impressive scissors for coarse materials from the leather processing industry are also known as scissors for cutting sackcloth or for bookbinders. The massive screw provides a stabile center of rotation, the strong blades – one wider and blunted – can withstand heavy duties and can be sharpened, if required. The generously sized eyes make them comfortable to use without having to exert too much pressure. For (almost) all textiles, leather or cardboard.

Tips for care:
Cut only material that is appropriate for your scissors. Grease them lightly now and again to maintain their precision: just running the blades over the palms of your hands is enough. If you have them periodically sharpened they will last almost forever and always cut like they should.

These scissors for coarse materials are very resilient and have strong blades. For textiles, leather, thicker cartons. Untreated carbon steel, not rust-proof. The scissors are delivered oiled and, occasionally, a small amount of oil should be re-applied. Over the course of time, the scissors lose the luster obtained during the manufacturing process and develop a nice patina.
