General Information
Perhaps not everything was better in the past - but some things were really good. We have this useful good thing made again based on a historical model. Our terracotta clematis base comes from a pottery in Germany and helps to protect your plants from excessive sunlight and thus from drying out.
Preventive measures
Clematis' biggest enemy is excessive sunlight in the root area, which causes the plant to dry out. A pottery in Germany has come up with a solution that is as clever as it is simple: a "half" terracotta pot (without a base), which is buried about a third into the ground in front of the clematis and shades the base of the plant. In addition, the soil moisture rising in the porous ceramic evaporates and cools the plant.
