General Information
Our motto for personal care items: Less is more. This also applies to soap, which is why we have so-called functional soaps like these made at the Klar soap manufactory. The basis is the Klar curd soap, also boiled according to an old recipe, to which only a substance of proven benefit is added: Here it is brine.
Pure and Functional: without Perfume, with Proven Additives.
Klar makes for us an utterly pure curd soap (for which pure olive oil and coconut oil are now used instead of palm oil) and – based on this soap – three time-honoured, so-called functional soaps. Klar adds a substance of proven benefit to each of these soaps: sulphur, natural brine and birch tar, respectively. You find the soaps in this composition exclusively in our range.
Proven for about 100 years: with the addition of approx. 1% brine salt (boiled from natural brine, which is mined in Saxony). Dry and oily skin both benefit from this addendum. The brine salt contains minerals and trace elements.
Klar. Soaps from Heidelberg
At a prosperous time for the old trading city Heidelberg, in 1840, Philipp Klar opened a soap works and store in the city centre at a “Hauptstrasse” address. This address became the cornerstone of a soap tradition which is now in the fifth generation. “At Klar’s”, as the employees fondly refer to the company these days, the best raw materials are processed, with the proven procedures and recipes which have been handed down. The result is soap of indisputable quality, without dyes or preservatives.
