Klar is known for their excellent caring and shaving soaps. Likewise, the shaving waters from the Heidelberg-based soap manufacturer are of exceptional quality. They contain witch hazel, which has a slightly astringent effect, as well as refreshing menthol, are unobtrusive in scent and leave a pleasantly well-groomed feeling and on the skin.

At a prosperous time for the old trading city Heidelberg, in 1840, Philipp Klar opened a soap works and store in the city centre at a “Hauptstrasse” address. This address became the cornerstone of a soap tradition which is now in the fifth generation. “At Klar’s”, as the employees fondly refer to the company these days, the best raw materials are processed, with the proven procedures and recipes which have been handed down. The result is soap of indisputable quality, without dyes or preservatives.
