Claus Porto soap box

A firework of fragrances and colors is concealed here in a simple, white box: nine small soaps with different fragrances, in lavishly colorful packaging, whose design is based on finds in the Claus Porto archive. Their Art Deco and Art Nouveau design is said to have been created by Ferdinand Porto himself. The fragrance that wafts towards you when you open the box is in no way inferior to this colorful splendor and immediately takes you on an olfactory journey. All soaps contain nourishing, moisturizing shea butter.

Alface - Almond Oil: The fresh, invigorating fragrance combines fresh orange blossom and green notes with velvety-sweet almond and floral notes of white rose and jasmine.

Banho - Citron Verbena: with the refreshing scent of lemon verbena.

Cerina - Brise Marine: Apple, bergamot, vetiver and sandalwood give the soap its maritime, fresh, tart and slightly woody fragrance.

Chypre - Cedar Poinsettia. Fresh citrus aromas, floral notes of rose or jasmine and warm, woody-mossy components are characteristic of chypre fragrances. Here you will find bergamot, mandarin and redcurrant in the top note, poinsettia, rose and jasmine in the heart note. Cedarwood, vanilla and oakmoss in the base give the floral fragrance an oriental note.

Deco - Encens Eucalyptus: This fresh forest fragrance combines galbanum and cypress with the woody notes of pine, eucalyptus and balsamic elemi. It is rounded off with juniper and cedar.

Elite - Tonka Imperial: a woody-warm fragrance with citrus-fresh top notes of bergamot and mandarin, with cedar and sandalwood notes in the heart and musk and amber in the base.

Favorito - Red Poppy: The fragrance of this soap is inspired by the lush poppy fields of Portugal: lavender and poppy provide the floral notes, along with aldehyde and patchouli, and musk and tonka bean round off the base.

Ilyria - Honeysuckle: clear, fresh lemon in the top note, combined with sweet honeysuckle and exotic jasmine in the heart note. The result is a delicate floral fragrance with a base of musk and orange blossom.

Voga - Acacia Tuberose: Acacia blossom and tuberose lend the soap a delicate floral and aromatic fragrance.

The company history of Claus Porto dates back to 1887, when the German emigrants Ferdinand Claus and Georges Ph. Schweder began producing the finest soaps for the gentlemen of the aristocracy in Porto. When they left the country in 1918, their Portuguese partner Achilles de Brito initially founded his own company with his brother Afonso, but shortly afterwards also took over the production facilities (and the name) of Claus Porto. Claus Porto bath soaps are characterized by a pleasant fragrance, which they owe to natural essential oils from the south of France. They also contain nourishing oils that keep the skin supple. The exclusively natural ingredients are ground seven times in succession on stone rollers, whereby they mix optimally - the scent of the soap becomes more intense and the lather creamier. The soaps pressed on old stamps are then stored in the air for three weeks - without any artificial drying processes. Since around 1920, masculine soaps and shaving products have also been produced under the Musgo Real brand name, which also enjoy an outstanding reputation.
