Classic sandwich toaster with tongs

An Italian vacation without panini and cheese and ham toast? Unthinkable! With this toaster from Milantoast, you can bring that vacation feeling into your kitchen at home. The Milanese company has had the 007000 model in its range for more than 60 years - and it remains (almost) unchanged. We are talking about the classic sandwich toaster with two compartments and the accompanying sandwich tongs.

Of course, you can use these tongs to toast individual slices of bread for breakfast - but they are primarily intended for toasting sandwiches conveniently and without much cleaning effort. For a small lunch, for dinner or as a snack between meals: It doesn't have to stop at prosciutto con pecorino. Rocket, tomato, grilled vegetables or strips of meat can be placed between two slices of bread in the sandwich tongs, and it doesn't always have to be white bread. Try your favorite sourdough bread! (And don't forget the slice of mozzarella).

The good thing about it: after a short heating-up time, the toast compartments can be controlled separately. This means you can operate both shafts at the same time - or just one if you only want to prepare one sandwich. Large quantities of snacks for guests are no challenge for this toaster, however, as it comes from a proven specialist for catering appliances. In the stainless steel housing, which is assembled by hand, heating strips made of micanite, the real mica stone, perform their job without complaint. The design of the toast chutes ensures good air circulation and there is a removable crumb tray on the underside of the toaster housing. You can adjust the browning time to your preference using the integrated timer. Speaking of the timer: Milantoast still installs mechanical timers in its appliances. The analog technology is absolutely reliable and usually easy to repair if the worst comes to the worst. There is just one thing you should know in advance: Parallel toast preparation is not common in the catering sector, which is why the timers do not run synchronously to the second. Differences of up to 30 seconds are within the tolerance range and are not a sign of a malfunction. If you want to toast in parallel, it is best to use the shorter clock as a guide, as using the timer requires a little practice.
