Christmas tree ornaments mouth blown toadstools

Traditional glassblowing art from Thuringia: For this mouth-blown Christmas tree ornament, the original historic molds, as they have been used since the 19th century, have been painstakingly restored. Manually, the inside of each toadstool is mirrored using Liebig's silver plating process, dipped in glass varnish after drying and finally painted by hand as well. In this way, each toadstool becomes a unique specimen: many unique lucky mushrooms - not only, but especially at Christmas time.

How it is now, of all things, a poisonous mushroom has made it to the lucky charm, is not sure until today. Perhaps the happy circumstance is due to the berserkers, who became intoxicated with the mushroom to be able to force a lucky victory in battle with the thus gained foolhardiness. But perhaps it was simply due to the striking appearance of its bright red, white-dotted hat, which has carried the mushroom into popular song ("Ein Männlein steht im Walde ..."), on countless greeting cards and the promise of good luck.
