Children's shovel

Pile up the sandcastle on the beach with zeal, shovel up the strawberry patch with hay or rummage through the sandpit in search of lost marbles - with a shovel in hand, your child can develop undreamt-of vigor. After all, children are born diggers, burrowers and diggers, and their dedication to playful treasure and fossil hunting could even impress qualified archaeologists. But the activities are clearly more fun for the offspring when the shovel reliably follows their lead.

This children's shovel also comes from the Westphalian forge Turk, which you know from our iron pans. However, unlike Turk's pans, it is not drop-forged, but punched and stamped from the steel (slit strip). Turk uses a simpler production process, but takes the same care for which we value the manufacturer: This allows us to offer you a sturdy, functional children's tool at a reasonable price. In order to hold the beech wood handle and the powder-coated steel blade firmly together, the handle is not simply clamped in the spout, but also firmly screwed together. The beech wood is carefully sanded smooth so that your child can experience both the solidity of the natural material and its characteristic, pleasant feel.

Entire treatises have been written about the sandpit and its educational value for children's development. A sandpit is hard to beat: on the one hand as a freely designable space in which fine motor skills, perception and creativity are sustainably promoted. On the other hand, as one of the first training grounds for social interaction among their peers, when the children share a sieve and shovel, bake their first sand cake together or pile up a winding marble run. And let's be honest: building in the sand, digging in the sand or making mud with water - sorry: sculpting - is simply fun right into adulthood, as the sandcastles and sand sculptures on many beaches impressively testify.
