Children's carpet cork

Furniture is beautiful in the children's room - and yet the floor often exerts the greater attraction on your child. The large surface simply offers children more space to play with dolls and cuddly toys, wooden trains and fire engines on a grand scale. An Austrian manufacturer produces this robust cork carpet so that your child can play out all their creative ideas on a hard-wearing surface without sacrificing comfort.

Pure cork - obtained from Portuguese cork oaks - is used for the top side of the rug, while cork granules are laminated onto a cotton backing for the underside. The cork surface is characterized by a particularly warm, cuddly feel, so that your child can stretch out comfortably on the rug from an early age (although we do not guarantee a nap). The underside ensures that the rug is stable and non-slip and is also suitable for underfloor heating. And you will appreciate its sound-absorbing properties at the latest when your child starts jumping and dancing. The easy-care surface can also be wiped clean so that traces of minor mishaps - a spilled superhero drink or an overly enthusiastic coloring book that has been filled in over the edge - can be removed with a damp cloth.

The lovingly designed animal illustrations running all the way around make the children's rug an eye-catcher that also inspires the imagination. The illustrations are applied using UV digital printing and, with their subtle red-brown tones, they have a high lightfastness (5-7) and will accompany your child into their fantasy worlds for a long time. Incidentally, the material thickness of around four millimetres gives the cork rug an impressive additional benefit: It is thick enough to be used as a large pin board - should your growing child one day consider it beneath their dignity to play on the floor.
