This ceiling lamp whose shape is derived from geometric forms is distinguished by the strikingly simple combination of an opaline glass sphere and cylindrical porcelain base.

With its excellent insulating properties and resistance to aging, porcelain is still the material of choice for lamp holders and fixtures for outdoor and bathroom lighting. These porcelain lamps are manufactured in southern Sweden at Ifö Electric - a company that specialized in ceramic components as early as 1887 and is now one of the leading producers of ceramic fittings.
