Candle with fragrance

As the candle burns down, a cavity in the body of the candle accrues, leaving an exterior wall with the spices, flowers and berries to be illuminated from within. However, the Latvian manufacturers show their creativity in many ways: the look and the scent of a candle do not always correspond exactly. The candles with whole cloves or cinnamon sticks do indeed carry the scent of those spices; the candles with wildflowers in the wax, on the other hand, exude the fragrance of roses; while the wax, which shows rowanberries and blueberry leaves, is scented with lavender.

What makes these scented candles from Latvia so special? It is not only the unobtrusive aroma, which is nothing like the penetrating chemical cocktails exuded by some other brands, but also the wax out of which they are made. Since the candle wax is obtained from soybean oil, it is a 100% natural plant-based product, biodegradable und completely free from toxic substances. Another advantage over the competition made from paraffin: this candle burns almost twice as long. Soy wax is also easier to remove; water and soap are all that is needed. Natural fragrances and oils, derived from Latvian plants, give the candles their aroma, which is quite pronounced even before the candles are lit.

The special feature of these scented candles from Latvia is not only their unobtrusive scent, but also the wax used. It is made from soybean oil and is therefore purely plant-based. Another advantage over their kerosene counterparts is that the candle burns almost twice as long. Wax residue is also easier to remove: just use soap and water. Natural perfumes and oils, extracted from Latvian plants, give the candles their fragrance, which is quite intense even before lighting.

When burning the candle for the first time, please allow it to burn until the entire surface has liquefied. Only then will the fragrance molecules dissolve completely and the fragrance can unfold optimally. This also prevents a funnel and ultimately a tunnel from forming in the wax. To extinguish the flame, simply dip the wick briefly into the wax with a match and put it back in place. This prevents soot from forming and the candle burns well again. The next time you light the candle, make sure that the wick is not too long; it is best to shorten it regularly to 0.5 centimeters. Wax residue on the glass wall can be liquefied by briefly placing the glass in the oven at 60 °C. If you wish to continue using the jar, please remove any wax residue and clean the jar with hot water and washing-up liquid.
