Bumblebee nest box granite ceramic

Bumblebees are considered true endurance artists. They spend up to 18 hours a day in the air - and head for up to 1,000 flowers during this time. As pollinator insects, they are thus invaluable to our crops. Not only do they often outperform (honey) bees. They are also out and about very early, when it is still far too cold for many others (including us humans). Daytime temperatures as low as -5°C are no problem for these temperature-insensitive buzzers, and unlike their fellow bees, they take to the skies even in rainy weather. Our nesting box, made of frost-resistant, climate-balancing, mold-free granite ceramic, is installed above ground and provides an ideal nesting site for the queen bumblebees that swarm out in search of nests in the spring. A stable base plate protects against cold and moisture from below; the enclosed nesting wool made of Kapok natural fiber, in which the animals can lay their eggs, provides additional comfort. The hemispherical top section fits snugly. And in case you are surprised by the signal blue painted door with the small entrance hole: The color was chosen on purpose, as bumblebees have been proven to fly on blue. Therefore, you should also not be sparing with blue-flowered, nectar-rich flowers in your garden, if you want to settle bumblebees with you.
