Bokashi kitchen composter

General Information
Bokashi. Composting with Effective Microorganisms
The term "Bokashi" comes from Japanese and describes a decomposition process in which kitchen waste in particular is fermented by adding Effective Microorganisms (EM). To make your own fermented compost, you need two things: a bokashi bucket like this one, made from recycled plastic, and litter (ferment), which you add to the container along with potato and carrot peels, coffee grounds, eggshells & co. The lactic acid bacteria contained in the ferment then transform your organic waste into high-quality fertilizer, soil conditioner and compost accelerator all by themselves. Once the container is full, the only thing you need to keep an eye on is the time: One fermentation cycle takes about two weeks. All the liquid produced during the decomposition process is collected in a drawer integrated into the bucket: Added to the watering water, it makes an excellent liquid fertilizer for all your indoor, balcony and garden plants. We deliver our kitchen composter including grit, filter papers and a detailed instruction manual, so you can get started right away.
