The aluminum folding rules made by the "Bayerische Maßindustrie" (BMI) come with exactly locking nickel plated steel springs and a deep-etched scale. The 1.3 mm thick flexible aluminum alloy sets it apart from the wooden models from do-it-yourself stores. The numbers and demarcations on the scratch-proof and weather-resistant surface are always easy to read.
