Birdbath ceramic

This sandstone-colored clay is a specialty of the Coburg region, it occurs only there in the region in thin layers of earth. The clay can be fired at very high temperatures in the kiln and is then very robust and even frost-resistant.

During a prolonged period of cold weather in winter and snowfall, it can be difficult for wild birds living in our country to get drinking water or a place to bathe to clean their feathers. Puddles, streams and lakes are then usually frozen. It is therefore all the more important to set up a bird bath in your own garden in addition to the bird feeder. This watering trough lasts through all seasons and can safely stand outside, especially in winter, because it is made of frost-resistant material. Therefore, even permanent sub-zero temperatures and ice formation can do little harm to it. Insects can also settle down to drink on the central island that rises slightly from the bowl.
