A bird bath enlivens any garden: birds need an opportunity to quench their thirst and clean their feathers, and make lively use of a watering place. But as entertaining as it is to watch birds at the watering hole, garden owners are also aware of the lurking danger: where a bird settles, a cat is often not far away.
