A towel made of twisted half-linen in barley grain weave, a particularly robust type of weave. Pure white and nicely grippy due to the half-twist. Traditionally it is used for shaving preparation. The barber uses a damp hot cloth applied before lathering to prepare the beard hair and skin for shaving. After shaving, a fresh towel removes foam residue.
