Barbecue skewer

Stainless steel is the material from which the blades of these barbecue skewers are made. They can therefore be reused as often as desired - but also convince for another reason: and that is their elliptical shape. Pieces of meat, fish or vegetables do not slip off and the cooking or roasting process is further improved by the fact that the grilled food cannot rotate on its own axis even when turned on the grill or in the pan.
The brass heads in the shape of animals, which sit on top of each skewer, have a primarily decorative function. The animal figures are still cast in the lost sand mold and must be trimmed and sanded by hand. Since all molds are two-part, each of the mated halves are then pressed under very high pressure and slip-ground (trovalized®) in another operation. Finally, the figures are drilled, each fitted with a skewer and both components are firmly stamped - i.e. durably joined together without soldering or gluing. The skewers are produced at a Solingen manufacturer for kitchen gadgets.
