Balcony box robinia wood

Wood is not only a much more attractive material than the plastic usually used for balcony boxes. It can also be much more durable, especially if, as here, the container is lined from the inside. The thermal properties of the wood - in this case common robinia - also benefit plant growth. Robinia wood is quite insensitive to moisture due to its strength. Nevertheless, the manufacturer of our balcony boxes recommends that you do not plant them directly, but either cover them with foil from the inside or use a suitable plastic container to prevent the wood from twisting lengthways. We obtain the wooden balcony boxes from Hungary, where robinia is one of the most important forest trees.
