Backpack Ladies Olive Leather®

We offer this rucksack made of Olivenleder® in two sizes. A larger model for men and a smaller for women. Inside the undivided main compartment, there are two side pockets made of wool felt and a leather strap with a snap hook for securing keys. The rucksack is closed with a double-barrelled zip.

The tanning specialists at wet-green® have developed a comprehensively gentle tanning process. It is based on one of the oldest useful plants: the olive tree. Its leaves contain bitter substances that protect it against pests and rot and are also suitable as a tanning agent. Only the olive leaves that are left over from the annual pruning and would otherwise be burnt are used to extract the tannin. The syrupy tanning agent is produced from these leaves under food conditions and could even be tasted if it wasn't so bitter. Leather tanned in this way is very kind to the skin and absolutely harmless to people and the environment throughout the entire product cycle. Olive leaf tanning can produce leather with a wide range of properties: From strong saddle leather to supple garment leather, everything is possible depending on the preparation and finish. The olive leather® used here is soft and non-slip, yet surprisingly resistant to water and very hard-wearing. The Ackermann fine sewing workshop in Lüneburg gives it a simple, straightforward shape for us. Ackermann mainly produces in Lüneburg, special product lines are manufactured in a Czech partner company.

Please note that the bag is unlined, so the velour on the inside may initially give off fluff or rub off, as with other leathers. The dark colour on the outside may rub off on light coloured clothing.
