Baby rattle maple wood

From birth, your baby performs at its best. He trains everything - his motor, sensory and cognitive development progresses with each passing day, even during sleep. Soon every acoustic stimulus is highly interesting for your baby (in teenage years this changes, but until then you still have some time). If you give him such a fascinating, rattling thing as a rattle, he will also involuntarily reach for it and try to hold it: excellent training for his fine motor skills. Thanks to the smoothly polished maple wood, the rattle proves to be a robust grasping toy, while its sounds encourage the offspring to grasp, shake and look at it again and again. What a baby holds in its hands, it inevitably puts in its mouth - it may also satisfy its oral curiosity with this rattle with pleasure, because maple wood is so fine-pored by nature that it is hygienic and easy to clean. Especially for itchy or painful gums during teething, the wooden rattle provides your offspring with gentle relief as a teething ring.

In 2021, craftspeople and educators founded a start-up near Chemnitz in Saxony that is dedicated to the development and production of educational wooden toys. The founders draw inspiration for their designs directly from life: from their own children. In order to provide their offspring with lasting playtime fun that can involve both young and old, the parents designed a marble run that can be attached to building blocks without slipping and can also be extended. The marble run building block system was born. This was soon followed by further ideas for toys made from local beech or maple wood, always designed to bring joy to the grandchildren's generation.

Design and production take place in the small workshop at Baumkinder, where traditional carpentry skills are combined with the achievements of digital technology. From the trunk to the finishing touches, Baumkinder makes sure that production is as resource-friendly as possible, so that even sawdust can still find a use. Green electricity supplies the energy for production, which also dispenses with paints, varnishes and composite materials. The packaging of the Baumkinder toys remains plastic-free and, last but not least, a small portion of the purchase price goes towards reforestation projects.
