General Information
Tangible security. Soft, warm and soothing
At home or on the go, as a cozy carpet pad on the changing table or in the meadow, as a blanket in bed, buggy or in the baby carrier - a baby blanket is always and everywhere of value. This woollen blanket is as light as a feather, but in terms of quality and benefits it is a heavyweight: knitted from the finest, skin-friendly organic merino wool, it is incredibly soft and cuddly, has a slightly warming effect and keeps your child safe and snug. The fine ajour knit is edged with an intricate shell seam and has a natural elasticity that makes the baby blanket ideal for very gentle, soothing swaddling. The high-quality production of the baby blanket is designed for long-lasting use, so that your child will grow fond of it far beyond toddlerhood.
Merino wool. Fine, soft, naturally valuable
Two fundamental properties make merino wool such a valuable material for children's clothing. 1. its excellent temperature-regulating effect: merino sheep produce an extremely soft, fine wool, to which the animals owe their much-praised resilience. Not even the sometimes extreme temperature differences in their natural habitat can harm merino sheep: In the cold, their slightly crimped wool fibers are particularly effective at storing natural body heat; in the heat, the fibers absorb a lot of body moisture and release it into the environment with a cooling effect. Last but not least, merino wool is particularly skin-friendly thanks to its very fine wool fibers; even wool-sensitive people feel comfortable in it. 2. its natural ease of care: children's clothing not only has to be able to withstand a lot, it also has to be easy to care for. Pure new wool fibers offer this enormous advantage: they have a rough surface and a natural content of wool grease (lanolin). New wool is therefore self-cleaning, so to speak - dirt particles find it difficult to adhere to the rough fiber surface. It is therefore often sufficient to air the garment and brush out the dried dirt.
Disana. Natural for the child
Natural materials for the natural well-being of the child - Disana, founded in 1982 and based in Lichtenstein, Baden-Württemberg, follows this high quality standard. However, the roots of the family-run company go back much further, to the 1960s, when the company founders Imma and Dietrich Sautter laid the foundations for their textile production with a knitting machine in the cellar. Further milestones followed, from the first knitted cotton diaper at the beginning of the 1970s to today's collections, which always guarantee one thing: the use of selected raw materials from certified organic farming (kbA) and certified organic animal husbandry (kbT). Disana only uses organic merino wool from Patagonia (South America) and organic cotton from project-supported small family farms in Kyrgyzstan (Central Asia) and Uganda (Central Africa). The textiles are certified according to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), proof of the processing of natural materials, transparency of the entire production chain and fair working conditions. On the way from natural fiber to garment, the company's innovative techniques implement the know-how of traditional craftsmanship - Disana's knitters, tailors and seamstresses stand for profound craftsmanship of the "Made in Germany" brand.
Hint:
Warning. Make sure that the child's face is not covered by fabric.
Do not use in combination with sleeping bag or blanket. Overheating may endanger the child's life. Consider the child's room temperature and sleeping clothes.
Keep away from fire.
